Product Tagging Guide
Tags are what automatically place a product into the right collections and the Shop mega-menu. Tag it correctly and it shows up everywhere it should — with no extra work. Tag it wrong and it goes missing or lands in the wrong place.
The two tag systems
Every product should get (1) one category tag and (2) one or more room tags. That’s all that’s needed for it to flow into the right places.
1 · Category tag required — pick ONE
This is the product’s main type. Use the tag exactly as written (capitalisation matters).
| If the product is a… | Use tag | It appears in |
|---|---|---|
| Chair (dining, accent, rocking) | chair | Chairs → Furniture |
| Table (coffee, side, console, dining, laptop, bedside) | Table | Tables → Furniture |
| Room divider / screen / partition | Room Divider | Room Dividers → Furniture |
| Wall panel / wall art | Wall Decor | Wall Decor → Wall & Decor |
| Mirror frame | Mirror Frame | Mirror Frames → Wall & Decor |
| Decorative / home item (showpiece, candle holder, etc.) | Decor | Home Decor |
| Serving tray / platter / coaster / cutlery | Serving Tray | Serving Trays → Dining & Living |
| Organizer / spice rack / storage | Organizer | Organizers → Dining & Living |
2 · Room tag for “Shop by Room” — add all that fit
| Room | Use tag | What goes here |
|---|---|---|
| Living Room | Living Room | Coffee/side/console tables, room dividers, accent & rocking chairs, plant stands, shelves, wall panels, most wall mirrors |
| Dining | Dining | Serving trays, coasters, cutlery, spice racks, dining chairs |
| Bedroom | Bedroom | Bedside tables, nightstands, and vanity / full-length / floor mirrors |
| Workspace | Workspace | Laptop & study desks, mobile stands, office chairs, storage organizers |
| Pooja Corner | Pooja Corner | Incense holders, Sinhasan, brass / religious decor |
A product can carry more than one room tag — e.g. a dining-and-office chair gets both Dining and Workspace.

Tagging a new product — 3 steps
- Add the category tag (exact spelling from the first table).
- Add the room tag(s) that fit.
- Save. It auto-appears in the matching collections and the Shop menu.
Rules & gotchas
- Exact spelling & capitalisation.
Table— nottableorTables.Room Divider— notroom divider. - Don’t invent new category/room tags. Use only the ones listed here. Other descriptive tags (material, colour, wood type) are fine and separate.
- One category tag per product (its main type). Room tags can be several.
- Mirrors: vanity / full-length / floor mirrors →
Bedroom; all other wall mirrors →Living Room. Every mirror also getsMirror Frame. - Not sure which room? Leave the room tag off rather than guess — better empty than wrong.
- Safety gates, showpieces, misc décor don’t need a room tag.
Questions or a product that doesn’t fit any tag? Flag it to your manager rather than inventing a tag.
